Biographical Information:
Vern Montgomery
Trainer Vern Montgomery, CDT, CPDT, has
more than 30 years experience
in training dogs and working with animal behavioral problems. He has
worked with almost every breed of dog in both individual and class sessions.
Vern has been involved with obedience competition at all
levels, companion dog training, tracking, and agility training. He has
won several AKC and UKC obedience competitions with his own dogs. His
present dog, a golden retriever named "Cayenne", has now added Dog Dock
Diving to his expertise.
Vern is one of only a few trainers
in the United States and Canada to have attained Certification status as a
trainer from both the International Association of Canine Professionals and
the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
He supports various rescue groups, service dog organizations,
national and local Humane Societies, and the SPCA.
